What is a Gig Worker?

It is an independent worker / Business that does work or service for you for short-term engagements.

What is a Bid?

It is an auction price offer to execute a specified gig within the prescribed time.

What Are Quotes?

To give the gig poster an estimated cost for a particular job or service.

What is the difference between a bid and a quote?

A bid is an offer made by a gig poster that he/she is willing to pay for that proposed price. A Quote is an estimated cost proposed by a gig worker.

What can you do after registration?

You can either post a gig or work as a gig worker under the same dashboard profile.

I want to post a gig, which one “bid/quote” I need to select?

If you already know your gig requirements, you can go straight to the bid. But if you are unsure about your gig requirements, then you can use a quote.

What are the advantages of bids/quotes?

Bids offer, make gig workers compete between them to get the gig at the best possible price. You can also choose through their personal qualities e.g., profile, communication skills, trust, reviews, and gig completion rate. Quotes are also good, especially if you unclear about your gig (Cost, what is best for the gig) and want to have their professional advice before proceeding, services they offer, number of revisions allowed, or even warranty. Quotes are most preferred for onsite gigs, as site visits are paramount to get an accurate evaluation of the gig. But, you may not get the best price as there is no open competition. When you have the proposal price and valuable advice, you can list the gig as a bid with all the necessary information to get the best price.
